Why do you need to be able to write well?
A clear, well laid-out and structured document achieves it purpose. We all write with an aim in mind whether it is an email, covering letter for an interview, a request for a meeting, client proposal, press release, feature article, case study, strategy or report.
To be successful and get your wished-for response requires thinking about your writing style and approach.
The one day interactive course:
- Defines the basic principles of good writing
- Looks at examples of good and bad writing across a wide range of documents.
- Examines your methods of preparation and writing- and how to improve
- Exercises on the use of language, content and style: do you use jargon, clichés, analogies, examples, facts and figures.
- Exercises in pitching an idea that helps focus you on purpose.
- Exercises in sample writing- to suit your corporate needs
- Tips and dos and don’ts – especially the maxims ‘less is more’ and ‘say what you mean’.
This course is best with a smaller group of people, to give individuals more attention and practice on their writing.
