Roehampton Uni Symposium

Interesting meeting today with around 50 lecturers from the Media Culture and Language Department who were re-examining their advice to students about careers.

4 of us from the Media industry talked about how we select graduates and the qualities we are looking for.  The discussion touched on the students’ need to showcase their skills and interests more, to add their social media skills as an asset, to express their interest in the role, having done good research on the company first- and to persevere by being pro-active and trying to connect with everyone and anyone they meet!
