Join my new Improve your Travel Writing Skills course. I’m really excited about this new course as it looks at what you can do to improve your travel writing skills. It doesn’t matter if you just want to write a blog or post for friends and family, or try for a new career or improve your existing ouput as a freelancer. This course will give you time to think and gain new skills.

On the Improve your Travel Writing Skills course we’ll be looking at famous travel writers and what they say about the craft- some enjoy it, others despise the label. But most of the sessions we’ll be working at exercises and learning via Powerpoint on improving your skills. There is lots to learn about. It’s not just about using fewer words, being more descriptive or thinking about research.

Travel writing as with any form of storytelling includes editing and re-working as a key part of refining your words. Don’t forget the potential use of photos and video to add visuals to your text. Also we’ll discuss about where and how you can publish. I provide some legal advice for when you do head off on your freebie or press trip.

Above all, this Improve your Travel Writing skills course is a fun few weeks of working together in a small group of like-minded people, doing fun exercises, reading aloud to each other your writing and coming away with a new ‘eye’ for a story, for language and grammar. So join the Improve your Travel Writing Skills course on Eventbrite- starting this October. It’s free!!!
